THE TRADITION OF RAMADAN

In today’s Istanbul, "the historic peninsula and the Armada" is one of the classic addresses to go to for Ramadan. "Iftar-goers"have become so accustomed to our program, they even frown upon changes made to the menu they’ve come to love and expect. The heart of the "iftar"table has been beating at the Armada Terrace for years accompanied by the magnificent views of the Sultanahmet mosque and live lute music. Our Ramadan program is full of great tastes and authenticity and it’s prepared the way Istanbulites expect it to be. In addition, "iftar" meals at the Armada feature endless choices from our special menu that are enjoyed in harmony with the atmosphere of the peninsula and its historical mosques, "mahyalar,” or messages in lights and sounds of the "ezan,” or call to prayer. A stylized "mahya" also illuminates Ahırkapı Street with the message "Welcome Ramadan."
